The Black Sheep Restaurant in Blue Ridge, Georgia is not your typical mountain town dinner spot. Housed in the historic Butt House, a building dating back to 1914 in the heart of downtown Blue Ridge, The Black Sheep brings upscale, locally sourced dining to West Main Street with a personality all its own.
The name alone tells you something. Appropriately named by its founder, the Original Black Sheep, Steve Oyer, this restaurant has always done things differently. The current owners have kept that spirit alive with a menu that leans into fresh seafood, tender local steaks, hand-crafted cocktails, and a wine list worth sitting down for. Their goal: comfortably unfamiliar. You will recognize the warmth and the welcome, but the menu will surprise you.
Boasting the largest outdoor bar and covered patio space in Blue Ridge, The Black Sheep is equally good for a quiet dinner inside or a cocktail-hour sunset on the patio. The raw bar and craft beer selection make it one of the most versatile spots in town. Weekend brunch draws its own crowd, with dishes like Short Rib Benedict, Chicken and Red Velvet Waffle, and Shrimp and Lobster Roll earning return visits.
For Dandy and Rover guests staying at Little Blue, The Winifred, or The Doc Holliday, The Black Sheep is an easy ten-minute drive into downtown Blue Ridge. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends. Book through Resy or call ahead. Seating fills quickly and for good reason.
